He looks at how resistive the ground is to electricity and the speed at which sound waves travel through it, which allows him to make a model of what is happening under his feet. He measures physical changes happening near the surface of the ground. He took college classes, here and there, and worked a string of jobs in the service industry. He initially majored in music, one of his passions, but by his own admission was aimless for much of his 20s. The cave features a 9 foot soda straw, the longest known in the Ozarks, and 2 bottomless cave lakes. The cave is a warm 64 degrees in the winter and a cool 64 degrees in the summer.
